In 2001, along with Jan Weekes and Jayne Hancock, Carolyn founded Cascade Performing Arts Council, the organization that is now Cascade Arts & Culture Council. With a strong background in dance (ballroom, tap, jazz and ethnic dance), Carolyn is a patron and supporter of all the arts, heritage and culture. She was also a founding member of the Duvall Arts Commission (now the Duvall Cultural Commission), serving as Chair from 2001 to 2007.   Carolyn earned an Arts Management Program Certificate from Seattle Central Community College. In partnership with the Duvall Cultural Commission, she established many successful performing arts programs in Duvall, including Arts Onstage, SummerStage, and a Site-Specific Performance program. Carolyn currently teaches at TJ Dance Studio in Duvall.
